Cockroft, Robert Age: Passed Away: 2010-10-21 Funeral Home: Hall & Hall Funeral Home Robert E. Cockroft ALBANY — Mr. Robert Edwin Cockroft, 65, of Putney, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Dr. Ronald Cockroft will officiate with interment to follow in the Mt. Enon Cemetery in Baconton. Mr. Cockroft was born June 27, 1945 in Savannah, son of the late Beachem Cockroft, Sr. and Ethel Bowen Cockroft Moore. He retired from the Marine Logistics Base where he worked in vehicle maintenance. Robert served his country in the Air Force and was a member of the Independent Harley Owner’s Group here in Albany. He was a member of the Oglethorpe Lounge Old Men’s Club and was a part of the family at Bench Warmers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cockroft was preceded in death by his brother, Beachem Cockroft, Jr. Survivors include his sister, Pamela Amato of Tallahassee, FL.; brothers, Roanld Duane Cockroft and sister-in-law Terri Vaughn of Austin, TX. And Daryll Lee Cockroft of St. Cloud, FL.; several nieces and nephews.
