Robert Earl Patton, 48, of Leesburg GA, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 25, 2012 at11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery. A native of Sylvester, GA., Mr. Patton had resided in Lee Co., GA. for the past five years moving from Albany, GA. Mr. Patton was employed with Schuff Steel Atlantic, Inc., and was a certified welder. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles with the Independent Harley Riders Assn., diving and was an avid Florida State football fan. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Four years ago, Robert turned his life over to the Lord and every day since, he has been a true testimony to the many people whom he came in contact with. A fund has been set up at Suntrust Bank for anyone that wants to donate to Tracey H. Patton in memory of Robert E. Patton. Survivors include his wife, Tracey Hayes Patton, Lee Co., GA., children, Savanna Patton, Lee Co., GA., Jeff Davis, Worth Co., GA., Johnathan Luttrell and Kirstie Martin both of Lee Co., GA.
