Edgar Pritchett August 11, 1946-December 9, 2011

Ed Pritchett, 65, died Saturday, Dec 9, 2011, at Crisp Regional Hospital as the result of injuries he received in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Pritchett was born in Cordele and was the son of the late Edgar D. and Mary Fletcher Pritchett. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was employed with the Marine Corps Logistics Center in Albany. He was a Methodist and a member of the Independent Harley Riders Assn. and Remaining Few Support Club. Mr. Pritchett is survived by three dear family friends, Dr. Mary Cown of Naples, FL, Fred Cown, Jr. of Cordele and Josh Jones of El Paso, TX; a daughter, Candace Pritchett; a sister-in-law, Peggy Pritchett; uncle, Thomas Pritchett, Sr.; cousins, Tommy Pritchett, Jr., Susan I. Pritchett, Carolyn P. Hill, Dinah P. Phillips, Paul Illman, Susan Freedman, Kyle Carroll and Peggy Illman; niece and nephew, Paige Samples and Gary Pritchett; and three sisters, Janie Melick of Cordele, Lessie Pitts of Central Point, OR and Judy Shiver of Warwick. Ed is buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany.
